This stunning large jug was made by Mason’s china in England. Released in 1996 for their 200th anniversary, it was limited to production only in that year. Featuring a pattern called Sumatra, it is oriental in style, with Chinese dragons, cherry blossoms and fish scale decoration on burnt orange. Heavily gilt, it is in very good order with just a tiny amount of gilding wear to the rim, and a small spot of missed orange paint under the glaze near the base. It measures 17.5cm from spout to handle and 15.7cm in height.
