This stunning large apothecary or lolly jar comes from Bohemia. Made from deep ruby glass, it has a tent style lid, is heavily gilt and hand painted, and has tre fuochi style applied flowers. It measures a large 12cm diameter, 27.5cm in height and is in great order. There are just a couple of tiny scratches to the gilding, and the gilt trim could do with a light polish with a jewellery cloth.
