Description
This beautiful vintage Japanese tea setting for one comes from Chikaramachi, which was a subsidiary of Noritake from 1928 to 1946. The pieces feature hand painted and hand enameled scenes, with black borders, gilt roses and gilt accents. They have a rainbow lustre finish. The beautiful teapot would hold around two fills of the gorgeous little matching tea bowl, which has its own matching saucer. The teapot measures 17cm from spout to handle and 11.5cm in height, while the tea bowl is 9cm diameter and the saucer is 14cm diameter. All three pieces are in great order for age, with just come light rubbing of the gilding.
