Description
This superb paperweight features an etched black headed gull on each side, over a foamy sea full of bubbles. From Caithness in Scotland, it was designed by Denis Mann, and released in 1976. A limited edition of only 500 world wide, it is number 426. It comes from the seabirds series, and is meant to represent the stormy seas around Caithness. It measures approx 7.7cm diameter, 6.3cm in height, and weighs 580g alone, without the box. The box is lovely with a sateen lining, and it has the original certificate. There is a sticker on the box from the original retailer in Brighton, UK, and the box does have a sticky mark to the corner, possibly from where the price tag was. Total weight with box is 840g. The paperweight just has light scuffing to the base from wear, and also has the details etched to the base.
