Description
This stunning pedestal cup and saucer is just gorgeous. Hand painted by Bette Tait in 1985, on a blank from Limoges, it comes from the China Painters association of Victoria. It features apricot roses, raised accents, and has heavily gilt 22ct trim. The painting is superb, and it is signed. It was featured in an exhibition in 2004, and has a bio of the artist and a picture of the duo, in the hard backed catalogue. Pictures included for reference, however the catalogue is not included in this sale. The cup measures 9.5cm diameter at the widest point, 7cm in height, and is in perfect condition. The saucer is 14.2cm diameter and is also perfect. Also included is the aluminium plaque used at the exhibition, which I forgot to photograph. The original sale sticker from the exhibition is still on the base of the saucer.
